Here’s a watercolour that I have just finished of my sister-in-law Helen, I think she has a great face. I usually start a watercolour portrait by very lightly drawing out reference points without being too definite, so I can change things in the painting without feeling restricted by the drawing. I then do a bit of masking which you can see at this stage with the first bit of light painting.
